ABOUT

I stopped making pottery in 2005 to return to filmmaking but have kept this website up as a "legacy" site since then.  In March, 2011 I made some design changes to the site and deleted some pages that were unnecessary.   The pictures are old and low resolution but I think you can still get an idea of what was important to me as a potter.

As a filmmaker (www.jancannonfilms.com) I am still basically doing the same thing that I did as a potter, I just don't get as dirty!  I feel that my twenty years as a potter has made me a much better filmmaker than I would have been otherwise.  Pottery is a wonderful medium and I am richer for having had my time in the "mud."
